Candle Pouring

How late are you open?

Wick is open: 11 AM–7 PM Tue–Thu, 11 AM-9PM Fri-Sat and 11 AM–5 PM on Sunday.

When can I come in to pour a candle?

We schedule reservations on the hour (I.E. On Fridays we have an 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00).

If you’d like to pour a candle and take it home with you the same day, please plan to visit the store at least three hours before we close (4:00 PM Tue–Thu, 6:00 PM Fri-Sat, and 2:00 PM Sun).

If you don't mind picking up your candle another day, you can stop by anytime during regular business hours. There is no rush to pick up your finished candles — we will hold onto them for you!

How long does it take to pour a candle?

The process of selecting scents, choosing a jar, designing a label, and creating your custom-scented candle takes up to 60 minutes.

Candles then take at least 90 minutes to cool before they are ready to take home. This is a great time to explore San Marco or the beaches neighborhoods.

Is there a cutoff for making reservations?

We can take reservations for a time slot up until the hour begins.

Do I need to make a reservation?

We ask for group of all sizes to make a reservation, so we can make sure every guest has their best experience. A reservation allows guests 60 minutes at our candle bar and the ability to make two (2) items per person.

How much does it cost to pour a candle?

Pricing is dependent on the size and style of jar that you choose. Prices range from $20-$40 with most options around $28.

If you are paying for a group, you are welcome to pre-select a jar (or jars) based on your budget. For example, our standard 8 oz. jar is just $23, inclusive of the entire Wick experience.

Can I pour a candle into my own jar/container?

We are unable to pour into outside jars or containers if you are coming in for a candle pour experience. Our jars go through an extensive testing process to ensure they are safe for burning in your home and that it can provide the best quality of a burn before they are placed on our shelves. Your safety and providing the highest quality products are our number one priority, and we simply can't ensure that if we poured into a jar that has not been vetted.

However, you can email us at pour@wickacandlebar.com and we would be happy to help set in motion the process to re-fill a loved container. Pricing is determined via the size of the vessel.

Do you recycle used jars?

We do not pour into a used Wick jar due to potential cracking from previously burned candles. If you have a used jar or container you would like to get rid of, we will happily clean it out and recycle it for you.

Groups and Events

How do I book a group?

What is the minimum/maximum size for a group?

We have seats for up to 23 guests at our Jax Beach store and 15 guests at our San Marco store. We don’t have a group minimum, however, in case you want to come make candles by yourself!

For private events, we can host up to 40 guests at Jax Beach and 30 guests at San Marco.

Do you host private parties?

If you would like to rent our space for a private party or corporate team-building event, please contact us at pour@wickacandlebar.com.

Do you make candles for weddings or other events?

We scent weddings, corporate events, retail spaces, and more! Schedule time with one of our Scent Tenders to create a unique scent that fits your need. Email pour@wickacandlebar.com for more information.

Do you sell gift cards?

We sure do! Gift cards are available for purchase in-store or on our online store at wickacandlebar.com/shop. You can also purchase a “pour-your-own candle” card packaged with an empty jar in stores, all packaged up pretty for your lucky recipient.

I am raising money for my organization. Will you donate a candle or gift card or offer sponsorship?

What are Wick’s candles made of?

Our candles are made using natural soy wax, pure fragrance oils, and cotton paper wicks for a candle that is long-lasting, clean burning, and true to scent.

Are you able to match the scent of my favorite perfume/lotion/candle?

We don't have scents that directly mimic popular perfumes or other products, but we can help find a similar scent or blend of scents that you will love! Our Scent Tenders are happy to help you create a custom scent that is similar to the scent of your favorite product.

My candle isn’t burning the way I think it should. What can I do?

We’re sorry to hear your candle isn’t performing the way you think it should; that’s frustrating! We take a lot of pride in hand-pouring our candles in our store and take many precautions to ensure they are of the highest quality each and every time.
