At Wick: A Candle Bar, we believe that creating your own custom made candle should be an immersive and memorable experience. The process of selecting scents, choosing a jar, designing a label, and creating your custom scented candle takes about 45 minutes from start to finish.
Reservations
We ask for group of all sizes to make a reservation, so we can make sure every guest can have their best experience. We have space for up to 23 guests at our Jax Beach store and 15 guests at our San Marco store. Candle Cooling Time
Once you’ve poured your candle, please note that candles take at least 90 minutes to cool before they are ready to take home. This is the perfect opportunity to explore the area, enjoying local dining, drinks, or shop while you wait. If you’re looking for recommendations, our Scent Tenders are happy to point you to their favorite nearby boutiques, bars, or restaurants. If you don’t mind picking up your candle another day, we will happily hold onto your finished candles until you return.
Beyond Candles
Want to create something other than a candle? We also offer the ability to customize home fragrance products such as room sprays, oils, and reed diffusers, as well as body care products including scrubs, lotions, and hand soaps. This makes for a truly unique gift or personal treat.
The Process
Sniff + Select
We stock over 90 premium fragrances. Finding your favorites is as simple as following your nose! Take your time popping the lids off the candles on display and make a list of scents that speak to you. Don’t worry about whether they blend well together — our expert Scent Tenders will assist you in creating the perfect combination for any occasion or mood.
Still feeling unsure? Consider where you’ll be placing or using your candle or product. For example, choose fresh and calming scents for bathrooms, sweet and cozy blends for bedrooms, and bright or citrus scents for kitchens.
Scent + Mix
After choosing your favorite fragrances, select a candle jar or fragrance container from our curated collection on the shelves. Next, design your custom label to give your creation a personal touch. Finally, mix your oils at our Scent Bar to build a completely unique scent profile that no one else in the world has — it’s yours to keep, gift, and enjoy.
Stay + Explore
Because candles require at least 90 minutes to set, we encourage guests to explore the surrounding area while they wait. Visit nearby shops, grab a drink, or take a stroll to enjoy the local art and historic architecture. Fragrance products like sprays and oils take less time to prepare, but browsing the area is always a good idea.
Whether you’re looking for dinner, drinks, or boutiques, our Scent Tenders are happy to provide recommendations.
If you plan to pour a candle and take it home the same day, please visit at least three hours before closing time. Our stores close at 7:00 PM Tue-Thu, 9:00 PM Fri-Sat, and 5:00 PM Sun.

Pricing for your custom candle experience depends on the size and style of the jar you choose. Prices range from $23 to $40, with most options averaging around $28. This includes your entire hands-on candle pouring experience, access to our premium fragrances, and your personalized label design.

FAQs about Pouring Candles
Do I need to make a reservation?
We ask for group of all sizes to make a reservation, so we can make sure every guest has their best experience. A reservation allows guests 60 minutes at our candle bar and the ability to make two (2) items per person.

How much does it cost to pour a candle?
Pricing is dependent on the size and style of jar that you choose. Prices range from $20-$40 with most options around $28.
If you are paying for a group, you are welcome to pre-select a jar (or jars) based on your budget. For example, our standard 8 oz. jar is just $23, inclusive of the entire Wick experience.
Can I pour a candle into my own jar/container?
We are unable to pour into outside jars or containers if you are coming in for a candle pour experience. Our jars go through an extensive testing process to ensure they are safe for burning in your home and that it can provide the best quality of a burn before they are placed on our shelves. Your safety and providing the highest quality products are our number one priority, and we simply can't ensure that if we poured into a jar that has not been vetted.
However, you can email us at pour@wickacandlebar.com and we would be happy to help set in motion the process to re-fill a loved container. Pricing is determined via each vessel.
Do you recycle used jars?
We do not pour into a used Wick jar due to potential cracking from previously burned candles. If you have a used jar or container you would like to get rid of, we will happily clean it out and recycle it for you.
How late are you open?
Wick is open: 11 AM–7 PM Tue–Thu, 11 AM-9PM Fri-Sat and 11 AM–5 PM on Sunday.
When can I come in to pour a candle?
We schedule reservations on the hour (I.E. On Fridays we have an 11:00, 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00, 6:00, 7:00, 8:00).
If you’d like to pour a candle and take it home with you the same day, please plan to visit the store at least three hours before we close (4:00 PM Tue–Thu, 6:00 PM Fri-Sat, and 2:00 PM Sun).
If you don't mind picking up your candle another day, you can stop by anytime during regular business hours. There is no rush to pick up your finished candles — we will hold onto them for you!
